Easter!

We started off the morning with our outdoor service being rained out...and not just rained out but torrential downpour! We desperately needed the rain so no major complaints!

This is the first of Callie's 3 Easter outfits.  Not on purpose.  This one got soaked in formula from a bottle malfunction but it sure was cute!

On to a little photo shoot of the kids.  This is Callie's #2 outfit.  I knew it would be too cold to go outside in, but it matched Eli well! I LOVE this pic of Callie and Daddy.

Almost crawling!

Our secret superhero!

Then we were off to brunch at the Embassy Suites.  This was a last minute brainstorm of what to do for Easter lunch.  It was awesome!
Cute little bunny napkin

On to Callie's outfit #3! lol

Mim & Pops and the grandkids

My awesome family :)

Easter Egg Hunt!

Saturday was the Liddell family egg hunt.  This is one POWERFUL family of God and we are SOOO blessed to know so many of them.

Eli's best buds Selah and True.

Getting ready for the hunt...

Eli and True did their hunts together...not to mention with matching boots. :)

Proud of the loot!

Easter Extravaganza!

This year our children's ministry did an interactive Easter experience for kids.  The kids went through different stations where they learned something and got a take away.

This was the Roman Centurion soldier talking about what a good Roman would be like.

Then the soldier gave everyone the supplies for this craft.  The task was to write something your thankful for and like to celebrate, then make a palm branch out of it.

Then they learned about Jesus arriving into town on a donkey.

Next was gathering around the table for the last supper and learning about all that would go into preparing that meal.

Next stop was Mary at the garden of gethsemane talking about Jesus praying the will of the Father.  All the kids were given a rock and wrote someone's name the Father was asking them to pray for.

Then it was time to visit the Angel who told them about the gospel.

I didn't get a picture of the shepherd at the end that explained how Jesus didn't stay dead but ROSE from the grave!

Top the night off with this bizzare sky overhead!

Bathtime Beauty

Callie gets a new tub! This was Eli's and the beak quacks when you push it.  Callie is getting so big and now that she can sit up on her own she gets to "graduate" bathtubs.

I adore this little girl! She is so smiley and happy all the time. Just say her name, smile at her and this is her reaction!! LOVE IT!

What a nest...

We have had some hoarder birds in our grill.  2 black birds have built this nest in the last couple weeks/months.

I cleaned it out and the torched the bottom part.  The next day the birds had completely re-built it!!! Bizarre and amazing.

We are going to have to move the grill for a few days so the birds will go find a new home.

Showering Joy Bennett!

Last week we threw a HUGE baby shower for Julie Bennett. We had around 45 people come around 9 hostess!  Julie is one LOVED woman pregnant with her 4th baby, and her first girl!! Since we know this will likely be her last baby and they have wanted a girl so deeply I did not want to hold back on this one! LOTS of handmade crafts went into this.

My hostess "co-captian" and I, Heather Hughes!

The food was DELICIOUS! Some of the best shower food I've ever had.  A HUGE thank you to the ladies who brought the food.

I had a LOT of fun working on all the little projects for the shower.  Grant was in Africa hunting for 10 days so the crafts helped me pass the time quickly.  I LOVE putting little personal touches on decorations!

This is the ball that hung in the center over the food table.  It is crepe paper roses glued onto a bouncy ball.  Total it cost $3 and everything was from the dollar store. All you do is cut a piece of the streamer about 1.5 feet long.  Roll it up and twist while you roll it.  Then just a little hot glue to close it and glue it onto the ball.  I tied a ribbon around the ball so it would hang after the roses were on it.

Cupcake tags!
Some of my favorite things to make!

Of course we had to have a station for people to ask God to speak to them about the baby.
One of my FAVORITE things has been watching the promises God spoke about my children come to pass.  How special that He spoke before they were even born and many of those things are so true about my kids! I love for others to hear them too!

Close-up of the "name frame" I created for Baby Joy.
I love making art in photoshop and this took me all of 5 minutes.
These are the different meanings of her name, Joy Elizabeth Bennett.

I know this picture is bad, but next to the prophetic words station was a spot for the women
to write down a favorite "Mommy & Me" activity or tradition.

Money/gift card tree...

Close up of the banner.  I used coffee filters as the backing.

We had a really great time, so much so that I forgot to get a picture of the Mom-to-be! Now we wait until Baby Joy's arrival!

Spring has Sprung!

Spring is in the air and my kids are getting SOOOO big! They love each other so much and I am one blessed mama!
